Everything Befundo does
For tutoring, music, art, sports and enrichment businesses, grouped by the week you run. Everything is on every plan, Basic included, unless it says otherwise.
Registrations
Sign-ups come by text, by form and by email.
Self-registration
Families register from your class page, your website or an invitation, and you approve.
Agreements at sign-up
Photo consent, medical and emergency details, pickup and conduct, collected when a family registers and recorded against each student. Saying no to photos never costs a child their place.
Spreadsheet import
Paste the spreadsheet you keep now, whatever your columns are called. Befundo works out that “Kid” is a name and “$/mo” is a price, shows you exactly what it will create, and does nothing until you press the button.
Invitations
Invite a family to a class; nobody is enrolled until a parent accepts.
Capacity and deadlines
Say how many students each class can take, or no limit, and set a registration deadline.
Requests to join and leave
Families ask, and you or the instructor answer in one queue.
The schedule
A class moves and I text twenty families.
Recurring schedules
Set a class's days and times once and every meeting of the term is created.
Change it once
Move, cancel or add a session and every family in that class is told.
Calendar feed
Families subscribe from their own calendar, and it updates itself.
Class board
One board per class: messages, events, resources, and activities (permission slips, forms, assignments and reminders), with responses tracked per child.
Syllabus
Write the course once, then mark what each meeting actually covered. Families see “6 of 14 covered” on the class page, and your summaries can say what the lesson was about rather than just who turned up.
Instructors
Invite instructors by email or Befundo ID. They accept before anything changes, and they see only the classes they teach.
Private lessons
A subject, the student, their parent's email, a weekly time and how it's paid: each lesson, monthly, or a package of lessons. The family accepts an invitation, and from then on it works like any class, with one student. Duplicate sets up the next one.
Hours and fill rate
Your opening hours bound each teacher's, and closed days and time off come out of both. Teachers confirm their hours every 30 days, from the web or the app. Business → Hours shows this week's seats filled in each class and hours taught of hours offered by each teacher; only your business's admins see it.
Families ask for a time
A teacher turns on Take time requests with a lesson length and an optional price. Families see the next two weeks of free slots from confirmed hours only, on the teacher's page or a private lesson, and ask. Approving checks the time is still free, then adds the lesson and enrolls the student. Families ask on the web and in both apps; each teacher chooses whether to take requests.
Camps
Build a camp from a week grid (weeks × age bands × the day's blocks) or add sessions one at a time with any dates, closed days, price, places and minimum. Each session is an ordinary class, so rosters, registers and dues work as they already do, and a child counts once per camp toward your plan. The camp page shows the day, what to bring and open places, counted. Off until you switch on Camps under Integrations; setting a camp up is on the web, and the apps show it.
Registering for camp weeks
Camp details once per child — emergency contact, who else may collect them, allergies and dietary needs, T-shirt size — kept with your business, your waiver and cancellation policy accepted with the version and time, and each place through the same registration as any class. Families pay you directly; Mark paid records it. On the web and both apps.
Running camp days
Staff check each child in at drop-off and out at pickup, choosing who collected them from the family's own list or recording someone else with a reason, and the parents are told. Attendance by day writes each day's register, with present, late, absent or excused. Announce to the whole camp, one session or one family, add the handbook and waiver as documents, and families get a reminder a week and a day before and a thank-you on the last day. Admins download the roster as a spreadsheet. On the web and both apps.
Class time
Attendance is on paper, or in my head.
Attendance
A register per session; online sessions come pre-filled from who joined.
Live classroom
Run classes online from the browser, with no downloads. Share your screen or draw on a shared whiteboard to show the class something, and take the register from inside the room.
Your own Zoom, Meet or Teams
A class that meets elsewhere keeps its own link.
Notetaker for Zoom, Meet and Teams
Session summaries for classes held on those calls.
After class
“What did she do today?” asked twenty times.
Session summaries
A write-up of each session, from the transcript for online classes and from attendance, the work you set and the part of the course you covered for in-person ones. You review and edit before anything reaches a parent, and it never quotes a child.
Homework and activities
Set work, forms and reminders, see who has responded, and read work handed in as a photo.
Progress page
Attendance across the term, notes your instructors write, and how a student did on any marked questions, gathered on one page per student. The family reads the same page you do: no separate story for a parent meeting.
Rewards
Students earn points for turning up.
Parents
Parents ask the same questions, one text at a time.
Messages
Conversations with families in one place instead of group chats.
Announcements
Post to one class, or, if you own the business, to every family in it at once.
Groups
Make a group from students across your classes — a competition team, a show's cast. You post on its board, and members and their parents reply. Switch on a parents' thread and their parents can arrange car pools and kit among themselves; children never see it.
Notifications
Families are notified in Befundo when something needs their attention.
Daily reminders
Families who want it get a morning note of the day's classes.
In their language
Each family picks English, Spanish or French for themselves, on the web and in the apps, and Befundo's notifications and emails follow. Your tools stay in English, and what you write is shown as you wrote it.
Month end
Who has paid? I check Zelle against my memory.
Payment tracking
Record what arrives against each student, however they paid, and read the term line by line to see who is up to date.
Shared payment status
Switch sharing on and a family reads the same lines, your figures named as yours, and can tell you they've paid a particular month, which you approve. Befundo never mails anybody a bill on your behalf.
Pay links
Point families at your own Zelle, Venmo or PayPal, with no amounts.
Export
Download your business's data as a spreadsheet at any time.
Growing
New families find us by word of mouth alone.
Business page
Photos, your story, your classes, and quotes you choose, on a link you can share anywhere. Start from a layout and arrange its sections, or describe your business and let AI draft it, add a trial-class form if you want one, and preview before you publish. Families don't need a Befundo account to read it.
Instructor pages
A public page for each instructor, which they can lay out themselves.
Grow campaigns
One sentence about a class becomes a plan, a post and links that count registrations, each a draft until you approve it. A weekly summary and a check of your listing and your own website come with it.
Facebook and Instagram posts
Connect your own Facebook Page and the Instagram account linked to it with Meta's login. An approved campaign's post goes out only when you press Publish, with a link that counts what it brought in. Nothing is posted on a schedule or by Befundo on its own.
Ads from your own account
Grow drafts the ad with you and aims it at your area, never at a list of people. Approving creates it paused in your own Meta, Google Ads or ChatGPT ads account with the daily budget you approved; Start runs it, and each platform's numbers are read back daily beside what Befundo counted. The platform bills you directly; Befundo never buys an ad.
Email to families who ask
A signed-in parent presses Email me about new classes on your page or a class. Enrolling adds nobody, you see how many are on the list and never who, and sending is on Growth and above, up to four emails in any 30 days.
Recommended by families
A parent who uses your classes can send another family a link to a class, to your business or to one of your teachers; a business or teacher link opens a list of the classes open for registration. The parent sees how many registered through it, never who. Befundo emails nobody on their behalf.
Your website
One line of code puts your live class list on the site you already have. It follows your classes, so there is nothing to update when one changes. Families click through to register.
Marketplace and map
Your classes appear in the marketplace by category and on the map, with schedule, age range and price. Registration happens on Befundo.
Verification
Registration documents read by a person, your address, your business email, your own ID. Each check appears on your page for exactly what it is, so a parent has something to go on besides the photos.
Reviews
Only families who took one of your classes can review it. You can reply publicly to any review, and you can't edit or hide one, which is what makes the rating worth showing.
Help and extras
I don't have time to learn another tool.
Setup wizard
Your details, your first class and your families, one step at a time.
Ask Befundo
“How many are enrolled?” “Where do I import my roster?” An assistant on every page that answers from your own classes, and can propose a change for you to approve rather than making it. Families can ask it too, for free: on the web, and in the apps for help and for finding a class.
Live support chat
Chat with Befundo support from Help on the web, or in the iPhone, iPad and Android apps. When nobody is online, the contact form on Help reaches us instead.
Let support fix this
Turn it on for your business from its Integrations page, or for your own account from Help. Support makes only the named fixes, through the same steps you would take, and each one is recorded and listed under your switch. Turn it off at any time.
Quest For Spark
Over 1,600 skills across math and English to grade 12, science, Spanish and social science, each with a lesson written for the teacher, practice to set as homework, and checked links. Off until you switch it on, and only for the subjects you teach: your own material works just as well.
Android app
On Google Play, for Android phones and tablets.
iPhone and iPad app
Everything works in the iPhone's and iPad's browser; the app is on its way to the App Store.
How it all fits together, week by week, is on the page for providers. Prices are on the pricing page — your first 3 months on Basic are free, and you can cancel any time.
