Befundo for students
If you have your own Befundo login, this is what you can do with it. If you're under 13, your parent looks after your classes for you — that's normal, and everything still works.
Getting started
How you end up with a login of your own.

Your parent sets it up
You can have your own login from age 13, and only if a parent switches it on. They'll add your email address and you'll get an invitation to pick a password.

Under 13?
You can't have your own login yet, and if you try to sign up on your own Befundo will tell you to ask a parent. You're still in all your classes — your parent sees them for you.

Your parent can still see things
Worth knowing up front: they can see your classes, your attendance, and your messages, and they can turn your login off again. It isn't a secret account — it's your own way in to the same classes.

Your dashboard
Today and This weekare at the top: what's on, what's due, and anything starting soon. Below that is a calendar of everything you're in.

My classes
Every class you're in. Open one to get its board, the people in it, and everything the teacher has posted.

Each lesson has its own page
What you covered, the handouts for that day, and the homework. Click View all to look back at earlier lessons — handy if you missed one.
Joining a live class
For classes that happen online.

Find the Join button
It's on your class page and on the lesson's own page. It turns on 15 minutes before the start, and when your teacher starts the lesson you'll see Live now.

You'll get a notification
When your teacher starts the class, the bell tells you and the link takes you straight in.

Inside the room
Video, a whiteboard and a chat. You can turn your camera and microphone on and off whenever you like.

If the class is recorded
Some classes turn spoken words and chat into written notes afterwards. Your parent has to agree before you can join one of those. No video or sound is kept, and the notes never quote students by name.

The board
Ask a question, or reply to someone. Your teacher might be the only one who can start a new topic — that's up to them.

Homework and forms
Anything with a due date shows up on your dashboard before it's due. Some things your parent answers for you, like permission slips.

If you delete a post
You can delete your own messages. Your teacher can hide one, but hiding leaves a mark saying something was there, and they can undo it.
Friends and messages
Who you can talk to.

Class friends
You can connect with people in your classes. They have to accept before you can message.

You can't message strangers
Only people you share a class with or who accepted your request. There's also a daily limit on starting new conversations.

Your parent can see your messages
All of them. That's the deal that makes having your own login possible.
Staying safe
What to do if something feels wrong.

Report it
Anything on a board or in a message can be reported. It goes to people who can act on it. You don't need to be sure — reporting something that turns out to be fine costs nothing.

Tell your parent
They can see your conversations and can block someone. Reporting and telling them aren't alternatives — do both.

Nothing about you is public
Your profile isn't on the internet. People in your classes see your name and picture; nobody else sees anything.
