Reporting a concern, and what happens next
The Befundo team · June 7, 2026 · 2 min read

The word "concern" makes people think of the worst case, which is exactly why most concerns go unreported. The great majority are small: a comment that landed badly, a session that felt chaotic, a child who came home upset and wouldn't say why.
Those are worth raising, and raising them isn't an accusation.
The quick answer
- Something about the class? Raise it with the provider first, in writing.
- A message someone sent you or your child? Report it from the conversation. It goes to Befundo's moderators, not to the business.
- A child's safety at risk? Go straight to the relevant authority in your area. You don't need proof.
Raise it with the provider first
For anything about the class itself, the provider is the right first stop. They usually know something you don't, like two children falling out last week, or the usual teacher being away.
Put it in writing if you can, in the class's messages or a message to the instructor. Not to build a case, but because a written note gets passed on accurately and a conversation in a corridor doesn't.
Report a message on Befundo
If a message you or your child received is the problem:
- Open the conversation in Messages.
- Open the conversation's options (the three dots) and choose Report.
- Pick a reason, add anything else if you'd like, and press Report and block.
The report goes to Befundo's platform moderators, with a copy of the messages as they were. The business doesn't see it, even if the person is one of its instructors. The person is also blocked straight away, so they can't message you again. You can unblock them later from your account.
What a good response looks like
- An acknowledgment, quickly, even if the answer takes longer.
- A named person handling it.
- A specific reply, not a policy statement.
- Something you can check afterwards.
When to go further
If it concerns a child's safety, if the provider is the subject of the concern, or if you raised it and nothing happened, go to the relevant authority in your area. You don't need to be certain, and you don't need to have investigated anything. That isn't your job, and it's explicitly not expected of you.
The bar for reporting is a worry, not proof. People who wait for proof wait too long.
If a message worried you
Open it in Messages, choose Report from the conversation's options, and press Report and block.
